Thirty years after the decriminalization of homosexuality in Russia, LGBTQ+ rights continue to face significant challenges in 2023.

Although it is legally possible to live openly as homosexual in Russia, the current government does little to combat discrimination, violence, and other forms of impunity faced by this minority.
